The Kano State House of Assembly has introduced a bill to enforce the use of the mother tongue, particularly the Hausa language, as a medium of instruction in schools.
The proposed legislation, titled 'Kano State Mother Tongue (Hausa Language) Education Enforcement Bill', was sponsored by Mr Musa Kachako.
