Corruption Probe: Histadrut Chair Among Detainees
A massive corruption probe has led to the detention of dozens of people, including senior officials of the Histadrut, Israel's General Federation of Labor.
Those detained include Histadrut chairperson Arnon Bar-David and his wife, who are being questioned on suspicion of corruption offences.

Hundreds of people are expected to be questioned in the affair, which raises suspicions of:
- Bribery
- Breach of trust
- Money laundering
- Tax offences
The police have raided 52 private homes, 12 government offices, 6 local authorities, and 5 corporations.
Those arrested will be brought before the Rishon LeZion Magistrates Court for a hearing on extending their detention.
