Philippine banking giant BDO Unibank is enhancing its cybersecurity capabilities as it migrates more services to the cloud and expands its physical presence.
The bank has partnered with US-based cloud security firm Zscaler to adopt a zero-trust security model, which requires strict verification for any access request.
Our approach is to adopt software as a service, followed by cloud-hosted applications, with on-premise deployments as the last resort.
This partnership comes as Zscaler expands its platform's capabilities and footprint across Asia, according to Paul Siy, BDO's senior vice-president and chief information officer.
