"I'll be damned! Man, the way you sing, the way you howl and growl, that ain't nothing but the dog in you. You were that good," said coach Snoop Dogg, 53.
"Brother Rob Cole, the way you started on that piano and then you stood up and went to a whole other level like, that's super star. But to me, I'd go with the dog."
Coach Niall Horan praised Cole's piano skills, saying he "told the story so well," and called O'Reilly's performance "so captivating to watch."
"I don't even know where you go here. Both of these still deserve to be here and it's sad but someone actually has to leave here right now," said Horan, 32.
Reba McEntire acknowledged both contestants' efforts and expressed admiration for Cole's piano playing.
"I loved you singing a Joe Cocker song. You channeled a little bit of Joe here tonight. Fantastic," the 70-year-old singer told O'Reilly.
