National Service of Remembrance, Sunday 9 November 2025

The National Service of Remembrance will take place on Sunday, 9 November 2025, at the Cenotaph on Whitehall, London, beginning at 11am.

Purpose of the Service

The service honors the contribution of British and Commonwealth military and civilian servicemen and women from the two world wars and subsequent conflicts.

Event Coordination

The Department for Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS) organizes the event in partnership with government departments, the Armed Forces, and veterans' organizations.

Attendance Details

No tickets or passes are required to attend.
The public is invited to observe the ceremony from pavements along Whitehall and Parliament Street.
Security checks will be conducted for all attendees.
Entry may be restricted if the area reaches capacity.

Video screens will be positioned for public viewing at these locations:

North of the Cenotaph, near the green in front of Field Marshal Montgomery's statue
In the lay-by outside Dover House, between Horse Guards and Downing Street
Near the junction of Whitehall Place
