Remembrance Sunday - We Will Remember Them

Remembrance Sunday - We Will Remember Them

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them.

Tribute to the Fallen

This Remembrance Sunday, on November 9, services and parades will take place throughout Angus, with wreaths laid in honor of those who gave their lives to defend our freedoms.

Please, if you have not already planned to do and you are able, I would encourage you all, take a small amount of your time to join others in your community at one of these important events and pay tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

For those unable to attend, it is encouraged to pause briefly and reflect — alone or with family and friends — remembering the fallen who gave everything for peace and freedom.

Armistice Day Observance

Tuesday, November 11, is Armistice Day — another opportunity to pay respects. At 11 a.m., whether at home or at work, everyone is urged to stop and observe two minutes of silence in gratitude for the selflessness and courage of our Armed Forces.

We must and will remember them.

Ongoing Service and Gratitude

Thanks are also offered to the servicemen and women who continue to protect the nation both near and far. As they defend us, it is our duty to support them in return. In recent years, amid growing global uncertainty and the harsh realities of conflict, their dedication has remained steadfast.

Author’s Summary

Remembrance Sunday and Armistice Day call for collective reflection and unity in honoring those who served, ensuring their courage and sacrifice are never forgotten.
