Former Feds Remain Hopeful About Public Service
Former federal officials, including some who were pushed out by President Donald Trump, shared their stories at a National Academy of Public Administration event.

James-Christian Blockwood, president and CEO of the National Academy of Public Administration, introduced a panel featuring former federal officials at the nonprofit's national conference.
Blockwood shared a personal story about his father, who recently marked 45 years of public service and is currently in the hospital. Before asking his son to take care of their family, Blockwood's father requested that he make two phone calls, including one to a colleague and friend.
