Democrats in Montclair Rally for Mikie Sherrill on Election Eve
Supporters of gubernatorial candidate Rep. Mikie Sherrill gathered in her adopted hometown of Montclair, a Democratic stronghold, on election eve Monday.
People waved signs that said
“Hit The Road Jack”and
“Let’s Land This”as they packed nearly half a block of Church Street.
A large blue campaign bus blocked the street near its intersection with Bloomfield Avenue. Supporters cheered Sherrill and her running mate Dale Caldwell as they face Republican Jack Ciattarelli in the gubernatorial race.
“My heart is full because we know who we’re fighting for,”Sherrill told the audience,
“We’re fighting for our families; we’re fighting for our kids”.
