UPDATE: Pedestrian Hit by Vehicle in Downtown Whitehorse
A pedestrian was treated for non-life threatening injuries after being hit by a vehicle at an intersection in downtown Whitehorse.
According to Yukon RCMP spokesperson Calista MacLeod, the incident occurred at the intersection of 2nd Avenue and Elliott Street at around 12:50 p.m. on Nov. 3.
- The driver stayed on the scene.
- A portion of 2nd Avenue was closed to traffic following the incident.
- Emergency services and the Whitehorse bylaw department diverted traffic around the area.
The police investigation has wrapped up and traffic is no longer impacted.
