Gas Leak Secured in Downtown Los Altos
A large gas leak in downtown Los Altos has been secured, according to fire officials.
The leak was reported at 10 a.m. in Parking Plaza North near First Street, prompting evacuations in the area.
PG&E secured the leak, and the Santa Clara County Fire Department later lifted the evacuation order, except for one location still being ventilated.
"We thank the businesses and community members in the area for their patience as this hazard was mitigated,"
the fire department said in a social media post. Authorities have cleared all other areas for people to return.
