Kimberly-Clark Acquires Kenvue in $49 Billion Merger

Consumer giant Kimberly-Clark, maker of Huggies diapers and Kleenex tissues, is buying Kenvue, the company behind Tylenol and Band-Aids, in a deal worth $49 billion.

The acquisition comes amidst controversy surrounding Tylenol, after the Trump administration linked its active ingredient, acetaminophen, to autism, despite lacking clear scientific evidence. Kenvue has denounced these claims as "simply false".

Kenvue has called the assertions linking acetaminophen to autism "simply false".

According to Kimberly-Clark CEO Mike Hsu, the merger will create "a global health and wellness leader" by combining the two "iconic companies".
