Man in 80s Dies After Collision in Galway
A pedestrian in his 80s was struck by a car on the Tuam Road, Loughgeorge, late last night and pronounced dead at the scene.
Emergency services responded to the incident on the N83 after 11:30pm, and the driver of the car, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital for assessment.
The road remains closed, and traffic from Killala to Ballina is advised to use alternative routes.
