Ex-Newcastle Boss Hughton Favourite for Zimbabwe Job
Chris Hughton is expected to be confirmed as the new coach of Zimbabwe.
Hughton, former manager of Newcastle and Tottenham, previously managed Ghana for 12 months before being dismissed in January 2024.
He is now the leading candidate for the Zimbabwe job, with the Football Association aiming to appoint a new coach in time for the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco in December.
ZIFA president Nqobile Magwizi said: “The process of appointing the Warriors coach is at an advanced stage. We will announce the appointment by next Monday, or Tuesday at the latest.”
