First Nations Art to be Featured in Prominent Location

A 4.2-metre sculpture, titled "Grounded," has been endorsed by Moyne Shire councillors as part of the East Beach Masterplan redevelopment in Port Fairy.

The artwork, created by Indigenous Australian artist Sherry Johnstone, tells "a story of strength, survival and celebration" and is planned for installation at the southern end of the precinct near the Port Fairy Surf Life Saving Club.

The project's realization depends on securing sufficient funding through grants or community fundraising.
