ChatGPT Partners with PayPal for Seamless Payments
OpenAI's ChatGPT has teamed up with PayPal to enable users to purchase products directly within the chat platform.
According to reports from CNBC, PayPal has signed a contract with OpenAI to integrate its digital wallet into ChatGPT, allowing users to easily pay for product recommendations made by the AI! tool.
- PayPal users can make payments via ChatGPT.
- Merchants can list and sell their goods in ChatGPT.
OpenAI is taking a big step towards turning ChatGPT into an e-commerce platform, hoping that ChatGPT’s approximately 700 million weekly active users will use the AI as a kind of “personal shopper.”
OpenAI previously announced payments via Walmart, Shopify, and Etsy in the US via Instant Checkout, while PayPal aims to position itself alongside leading AI providers like Google and Perplexity.
