Indians Punch Ticket to States with Stunning Third-Place Finish at Regionals
The Berkeley Springs Indians cross country team delivered a thrilling surprise at the Region II Championships, clinching a third-place finish and a berth to the Class AA State Cross Country Championships.
Lincoln and Frankfort secured the top two spots with 28 and 36 points, respectively. However, Berkeley Springs stole the spotlight by edging out host Braxton County and South Harrison with a team score of 99 points.
Bella Shoemaker also qualified for states with a 13th place finish.
The Indians rose to the occasion with grit and determination.
