Published to mark the 100th anniversary of the prison's closure, Newcastle Prison: A History, 1828-1925 reveals hidden stories and rare images from the lives of inmates and staff.
The book is a collaboration between Dr. McCorristine and crime historians Dr. Helen Rutherford, Dr. Clare Sandford-Couch, and Dr. Patrick Low, and is published by Tyne Bridge Publishing.
