Denji falls deeply in love with Makima, who dominates with her strength and excess blood. However, she takes Power out of the equation and assigns Denji a new partner, the Shark Fiend named Beam, a huge fan of Chainsaw Man.
Denji and Makima share a romantic date at the movie theater, discussing films between screenings. Denji realizes that Makima makes him feel like he has a heart, and it belongs to her.
Later, Denji meets another beautiful girl, Reze, who works at a coffee cafe, on a rainy afternoon, while deep in thought about saving himself for Makima.
Denji feels like Makima is the one who makes him realize he has a heart and that it belongs to her.
