We face unprecedented global polycrises, with our worlds literally and metaphorically on ‘fire’ and collapsing. People in many contexts face complex combinations of conflict, inter-group tensions, climate shock, extreme inequalities, state violence, political oppression, and social media-fuelled polarisation.
Effective responses are urgently needed to counter the exhaustion, anguish, despondency, isolation, and fear that many marginalised people and social change actors feel, following rising right-wing authoritarianism, populism, and misinformation.
