PRRD Exempts Over 800 Properties from North Peace Leisure Pool Tax
The Peace River Regional District has voted to remove more than 800 properties from the area taxed for the North Peace Leisure Pool in Fort St.
During the October 16th meeting, the board of directors discussed and approved the North Peace Leisure Pool Service Boundary Amendment Bylaw.
- The bylaw is reviewed and voted upon annually.
- It details portions of Electoral Area B which are exempt from taxation for the North Peace Leisure Pool.
According to a report from staff, a total of 848 properties will now be exempt from the bylaw, worth approximately $444.58 million in property tax.
The breakdown of the exempt properties' value is as follows:
- Residential: $208.06 million
- Major industrial: $215.79 million
