Ofsted Inspection Result
A specialist security training provider, White Point Solutions, has been given an 'inadequate' Ofsted inspection result.
The provider blamed the behaviour of "one bad employer" for the result, which was published after an inspection in July.
Inspection Details
- The inspection examined the training of 25 apprentices on level 2 and 3 security service standards.
- All apprentices worked for one employer that supplied security services to sites such as universities.
- Inspectors found that few apprentices were released from work for off-the-job training.
Ofsted "insisted" on pushing ahead with the inspection even though the CEO and head of quality were out of the country, according to Stuart Catton, a director at the provider.
The inspection was the provider's first full inspection since it began publicly funded apprenticeship training in January 2024.
