AT&T Achieves Open RAN Call Milestone
US communication giant AT&T has announced a significant milestone in the evolution of wireless networks, completing its first Open RAN call using third-party radios over its commercial network.
This achievement is part of AT&T's plan to modernize its wireless network, unveiled almost two years ago as part of a $14bn deal with Ericsson.
