U.S., Armenia In ‘Detailed’ Talks On Corridor For Azerbaijan

The United States and Armenia are engaged in detailed talks on a U.S.-administered transit corridor for Azerbaijan.

Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigorians stated that the talks cover practical modalities of the corridor, which would pass through a key Armenian region.

“Yes, the work is underway,”

he told RFE/RL’s Armenian Service, adding that the discussions include the infrastructure's appearance, form, and content in deep detail.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinian pledged to give the U.S. exclusive rights to the transit railway, road, and possibly energy supply lines during talks with U.S. President Donald Trump and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

The project is referred to as the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP), but key details of the transit arrangement remain unknown.
