In a recent interview, Leonardo DiCaprio shared that his favorite film by Christopher Nolan is not Inception but the 2008 action classic The Dark Knight.
DiCaprio’s portrayal of the paranoid revolutionary Bob in One Battle After Another did not achieve major box office success but earned critical acclaim. This role has positioned him as a strong contender for the "Best Actor in a Leading Role" category at the upcoming Academy Awards. Additionally, working with director Paul Thomas Anderson adds to his impressive list of collaborators.
Given DiCaprio’s extensive work with top directors, his film preferences are especially interesting. When asked by Collider’s Steve Weintraub about his favorite Christopher Nolan film, he deliberately avoided choosing Inception to be fair in his opinion.
"When he was asked what his top Christopher Nolan film was, it made sense for him to steer clear of Inception on a pure fairness level."
Instead, DiCaprio chose The Dark Knight, a decision that may surprise some but holds clear justification when explored further.
During the interview, DiCaprio was accompanied by his One Battle After Another co-star Benicio del Toro. Together, they discussed their favorite films from various prestigious directors.
Leonardo DiCaprio values The Dark Knight as Christopher Nolan’s best work, reflecting his deep appreciation for action classics beyond popular titles like Inception.
