Rookie Beckett Sennecke recorded his first two-goal game, and Leo Carlsson added two power-play scores, leading Anaheim to a 4–1 victory over Winnipeg on Sunday night at Honda Center.
The Ducks extended their winning streak to seven games, their longest since the 2021–22 season when they posted eight straight wins. They have now triumphed in nine of their last ten contests, solidifying their status as one of the league’s hottest teams.
“I heard about the losing days of the past couple years from the older guys, and they’re pretty pumped right now,”
said Sennecke, reflecting on the team’s recent surge and locker-room energy.
During this dominant stretch, Anaheim has defeated the reigning two-time Stanley Cup champions twice, last season’s Presidents’ Trophy winners, and a 2025 Western Conference finalist. Their recent schedule included victories over several playoff-caliber opponents.
“It’ll be a good challenge for us. We knew that our schedule had a bunch of tough teams in a row here, and I think we’re proving why we’re an established team,”
added Sennecke, as the Ducks prepare to face the Colorado Avalanche in a battle between the NHL’s two top teams by points percentage.
Leo Carlsson’s strong play has positioned him tied with Chicago’s Connor Bedard for second place in league scoring, trailing only Colorado star Nathan MacKinnon.
Anaheim’s seven-game win streak, powered by rookie Beckett Sennecke and Leo Carlsson, underscores their rise as a legitimate NHL contender heading into a high-stakes clash with Colorado.
