Fans gathered outside Disney's New York City headquarters to campaign for the revival of Adam Driver’s cancelled film about Ben Solo, titled The Hunt for Ben Solo. The project, which would have featured Driver reprising his role as Ben Solo from the Star Wars sequel trilogy, has sparked significant attention since Driver mentioned it in a recent interview.
The rally brought together three generations of Star Wars fans united by their shared hope of seeing the movie made. Lauren, one of the attendees, told Collider:
“Ultimately, the legacy of Star Wars has always been hope, and today, we carried that hope. Today’s meetup at Disney HQ in NYC brought together 3 generations of Star Wars fans, all united under the banner [The Hunt for Ben Solo]. Death robs redemption of accountability. For Star Wars.”
These activities aim to show Disney the strong and continuing demand for the film, with more events planned for the future.
Ben Solo, son of Han Solo and Leia Organa, was a key character in the Star Wars sequel trilogy, which began in 2015 with The Force Awakens.
Author's summary: Star Wars fans actively campaign for the cancelled Ben Solo spin-off, uniting generations to persuade Disney of the film’s strong potential audience and enduring cultural significance.
