Sigourney Weaver revealed the main reason she decided to join the cast of Star Wars: The Mandalorian & Grogu. It was not the star-studded cast or the legacy of the franchise, but the script written by Jon Favreau that truly captured her interest.
Known for her iconic work in the Alien franchise, Weaver brings a new dimension to the Star Wars universe. In the film, she plays Ward, a colonel leading the New Republic's Adelphi Rangers. Her character was previously a pilot for the Rebel Alliance.
