Vancouver Canucks Terminate Vitali Kravtsov's Contract

The Vancouver Canucks have officially released winger Vitali Kravtsov. General manager Patrik Allvin announced on Tuesday that the 25-year-old Russian player was placed on unconditional waivers to terminate his contract.

Kravtsov joined the Canucks for training camp in Penticton, British Columbia, before being assigned to the Abbotsford Canucks, the team’s American Hockey League affiliate. In 10 games there, he recorded one goal and three assists.

The Canucks acquired Kravtsov from the New York Rangers in February 2023. However, the forward spent most of the past two years with Traktor Chelyabinsk in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL).

During the 2022–23 NHL season, he appeared in 16 games for Vancouver, tallying one goal and one assist. In the 2024–25 KHL season with Chelyabinsk, Kravtsov posted 27 goals and 31 assists in 66 appearances.
