Following the Oct. 25 escape of two inmates from His Majesty’s Prison at Balsam Ghut, police increased patrols and conducted stop-and-search operations, resulting in arrests related to firearm offenses.
Although the escapees, Jose Almestica and John Burgos, were not located, authorities arrested Jeremy Nibbs, 37, of Pockwood Pond, and Kyle Baronville, 36, of Belle Vue. Both were charged with:
Nibbs was granted bail of $25,000 and is scheduled to appear before the Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday. Baronville remained in custody awaiting his court hearing as of the police announcement on Saturday.
The charges arose from ongoing police efforts to lower gun-related crime and remove illegal weapons from the streets.
