A dense fog advisory is in effect Friday morning for northshore communities north of Interstates 10 and 12 and east of Interstate 55, the National Weather Service (NWS) reports. This includes areas such as Slidell, Hammond, Franklinton, and Poplarville.
South Mississippi cities like Gulfport and Pascagoula are also affected by the advisory. Drivers are cautioned to expect sudden visibility changes, use low beams, drive slowly, and allow extra travel time for safety.
