Young Bleed, a prominent rapper from the 1990s, passed away at the age of 51, shocking fans, family, and friends alike.
The hip-hop artist’s eldest son, Ty’Gee Ramon Clifton, shared the heartbreaking news on Instagram. According to the New York Post, Clifton wrote:
“Rip to the biggest legend I kno …. Young bleed! Love u Dad so much and will definitely miss u … but imma carry the torch from here I got u.”
He also expressed pride in his father's legacy:
“I’m glad he went out in style!”
The post included broken heart and fire emojis and a video revealing that Young Bleed “gained his wings” on Saturday, November 1.
Clifton addressed misleading stories and confusion about his father’s age. Despite having no prior serious health issues, Young Bleed experienced a sudden health crisis after an afterparty on October 25 following the CashMoney vs. NoLimit Verzuz concert at ComplexCon in Las Vegas.
During the event, his blood pressure spiked. Clifton described the episode as “more of a natural thing that happened,” stating that Young Bleed collapsed due to a brain aneurysm caused by internal bleeding.
After being placed on a ventilator and spending a week in intensive care, the rapper tragically passed away.
