Aggro Crab and Landfall have expanded their hit co-op climbing game, Peak, with a new free update that introduces quirky and challenging elements.
The latest update, called The Roots, sends players climbing trees within a dense forest biome influenced by the forests of the Pacific Northwest.
The update also enhances the cooking mechanics:
"Peak's The Roots update still has players climbing, but now they're climbing trees in a dense forest. The trees are a challenge to climb, no matter how big the party is."
"It's now possible to see effects on non-food items when placed in a fire, though none of the devs are saying what happens, which should encourage some experimentation."
The full patch notes are available on Steam.
Author's summary: Peak's Roots update deepens gameplay with a new forest biome, hazardous giant insects, and expanded cooking features that promise fresh challenges and surprises.
