Remembrance Day Parades 2025: Bus Service Changes on Sunday 9 November

On Remembrance Sunday, 9th November 2025, some bus routes will experience temporary changes due to parades across the county. While the main parades listed are known, other brief service interruptions may also occur.

Remembrance Silence Observance

At 11:00 AM on Sunday 9th and Tuesday 11th November, bus drivers will observe two minutes of silence. When it is safe, they will park buses and turn off engines, inviting passengers to join in this national act of remembrance.

Free Travel for Serving Personnel and Veterans

NCT offers free travel from 8th to 11th November 2025 for all serving personnel, cadets, and veterans. To qualify, show valid ID or travel in uniform when boarding.

Road Closures and Route Diversions

Calverton Parade Impact

On 9th November, the Sky Blue 61 route is affected from 09:00 to 12:00, with the following stops not served:

East Leake Road Closure

Main Street in East Leake will be closed from 10:30 to 11:45 on Sunday 9th November. During this time, South Notts 1 will be diverted via Main Street, Castle Hill, and Loughborough Road.

At 11am, bus drivers "will observe the 2 minutes silence and will, where safe to do so, park their buses and turn off their engines and the company invites you to join them in national remembrance."

NCT encourages all customers to plan their journeys accordingly on this day.
