The Carolina Hurricanes secured a 4-3 victory over the Minnesota Wild at Lenovo Center in Raleigh, N.C., with key contributions from Jackson Blake and Sean Walker, each recording a goal and an assist.
Frederik Andersen made 21 saves to help Carolina claim the win, while Minnesota’s Filip Gustavsson stopped 23 shots on goal.
“Blake is probably the one who needs the most credit for tonight,” Carolina coach Rod Brind’Amour said. “The one goal was all him, and the other was just a great pass.”
“They’re a high-pressure team. There were times I thought we handled it well, and there were times when there was another good team on the ice, too,” remarked Minnesota coach John Hynes. “We got some looks in different segments of the game.”
The Hurricanes improved their record to 9-4-0, winning two straight and three of their last four, while the Wild fell to 5-7-3.
Summary: Carolina's Blake and Walker led the Hurricanes to a narrow 4-3 win over Minnesota, highlighted by strong offense and solid goaltending on both sides.
