Seventh seed Cameron Norrie advanced to the quarter-finals of the Moselle Open in Metz, overcoming local favorite Arthur Cazaux in three sets. The British player sealed a 6-7 (1), 7-6 (7), 6-2 victory after two hours and 49 minutes of play.
Norrie began strongly, breaking Cazaux in the opening game. However, the Frenchman countered with a break in the sixth game and dominated the tie-break to take the first set. The second set was tightly contested, both players holding serve until Norrie edged out his opponent to level the match.
