Communities across the Inverness area will gather this weekend to honor those who have died in conflicts. Hundreds are expected at the city’s main Remembrance Sunday parade and service at the Cavell Gardens war memorial.
Additional gatherings will take place at various war memorials in towns and villages throughout the region, observing those who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.
The parade will begin at 2:20 pm on Huntly Street, featuring members of the Royal British Legion Scotland (RBLS), veterans, cadet groups, young people, politicians, and civic leaders. This year, it will also include motorcyclists from the Highland Riders’ Branch of the RBLS.
The procession will cross the River Ness and conclude at the war memorial, where the Remembrance service will start at 3 pm.
